Recent San Juan Park Review: "This hotel is near the airport, so the cab to and from the airport was quick (but still $10+ depending on the number of bags you have). The downside to this of course is that you can hear the planes take off and land most of the time. The inside of the hotel is pretty well sealed off from the sound though, so that was not a huge issue for me. The beach  is a quick 3-5 minute walk from the hotel. It is a nice beach with almost no shells, rocks, or coral to stumble into with your feet. The only downside is that I couldn't find any foot showers to wash the sand off my feet for the walk back. There a plenty of restaurants within walking distance of this hotel, and the neighborhood is very "resort" like, so everything seemed safe for evening walking. There is also a cockfighting arena next door, if you're into that sort of thing. It is their national sport and completely legal. It was not really my thing, so I never went, but it seemed popular enough. There is a bus stop right across the street from the hotel, which you can take for $.75 per person to Old San Juan. There are plenty of tours that leave from or pick up at the nearby hotels within walking distance (~5 minutes) as well, so there is never any need to rent a car during your stay. This hotel's location makes it easy to do whatever you want while in Puerto Rico. As for the hotel itself, it was a nice hotel. The service was great, and the front desk staff was very helpful and informative. The free breakfast in the morning goes well above and beyond your typical free continental breakfast by having things like omelets and letting you make your own waffles. The poolside grill also makes very delicious food. The pool was a little cold, but the hot tub was a nice way to relax after having spent a day walking around Old San Juan or the El Yunque Rainforest. Having a refrigerator in the room was also a nice touch for keeping leftovers and drinks on hand. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be glad to"
