| Hello. We booked this hotel for our stay the night before our Royal Carribean cruise. It was a nice hotel and we were upgraded to a balcony room which we did not request. The hotel is aging a little and did smell a little musty due to the humidity. If I had to stay in San Juan again, no problems. We wanted to book the Sheraton right at the pier but they were sold out. This ended up being a good thing since our RC cruise was not at the dock by the Sheraton but it was at the dock across the bay. So we wouldn't have saved on cab fare had we been at the Sheraton. The area around the Normandie was nice...went for a few walks. There's a Subway right outside the hotel which was convenient for dinner. There was a restaurant on the water just up the beach but we didn't find it. We didn't walk far enough although the signs said it was only a 20 minute walk. All in all it was a pleasant stay. Breakfast was good too. We would stay again unless we found a good hotel in Old San Juan such as the Sheraton. |

| This hotel served the purpose we had. The room was a bit old in appearance, but the view was amazing, and then staff was very helpful. The head of security, Javier was particularly helpful and VERY welcoming. The only issue was finding good places for breakfast nearby. The Hilton next door has a great breakfast buffet, however, paying 26 dollars for breakfast per person is STUPID! Try the 4 dollar breakfast at Subway instead. Overall, this was a great choice. |

| The hotel is in a good location...just a 10 minute drive to town and close to the pier if you're going on a cruise. Had some issues with the room. I had pre-booked/pre-paid for a room with double beds and they tried to give me a king bed. When I said this wouldn't work they told me that they were completely booked. It was only when I pressed the issue that they agreed to accomodate my request. The hotel is in need of repairs and updating although the room was clean and comfortable. For that reason, I feel that it was greatly overpriced. |

| Great all the way around. Only weakness was the beach behind the hotel is a public beach and not as nice as the Hilton's beach next door. This hotel was built in the early 40's but has been renovated. It must have really been something in its day. I would stay there again. We walked the 2.5 miles to Old San Juan for some exercise. The road runs along the coast and right into the old Fort/Castle. Yhey even upgraded our room for us since they weren't full. |

| Hotel Normandie needs some sprucing up. It looks a little worn. We thought the breakfast prices were crazy. $12 for pastry and coffee. The room was comfortable though. The hot water was not as hot as we like. Overall, it was fine. |

| If you would like to leave a day early forget it. This is the only conplaint I have about the hotel. Is is sad to see the 7 floors of painting no longer on display. |
