| We love el Convento, and would stay there again. The feeling there is of a private club where you have the pleasure of being a guest. In Feb., '12, they very kindly warned potential guests that they are refurbishing the main floor patio area, and this is being discreetly accomplished. It should be finished by March. The bad part was that our room, 220, while gracious in its appointments and decorations, (but with no window) has a hum from a machine outside the walls that drove me nuts. (Some people seem to like this sound to help them sleep!) I complained, but they had no other room. They provided us with a free lunch to compensate. They were very kind and helpful about my comments. The nicest part of our stay may have been the wine and cheese party hosted by the management in the "library" at 6. Guests mingle and enjoy the hospitality on the terrace overlooking the old city. The location is superb. We enjoyed walking at night along the paths by the exterior walls of the city, which are created with a park like atmosphere. The architecture of the hotel is classic. All for a "pretty" price, that is pretty pricey. |

| There have been so many positive comments about this hotel that it is hard to say anything news. Quite simply it is by far the best hotel in Old San Juan and one of the best in Puerto Rico. Old San Juan is very walkable and very safe (the police presence is evident but not oppressive). If you are going to San Juan this is THE place to stay/ |

| This is a unique hotel in the old town, full of old world charm. Converted form a convent and opposite the "cathedral", it is built around a courtyard in old Spanish style.
Does it have the luxury of a big-chain 4 or 5 star hotel; of course not. But it makes up for this with character and dedicated helpful staff. |

| Idéalement placé, belle vue, très beau batiment. Seule la salle du petit déjeuner est ordinaire mais ils sont actuellement en travaux. |

| I have to say, El Convento made for a great stay in Old San Juan. The location cannot be beat as it is easy to walk to all of the Old San Juan points of interest. Newer areas such as Condado are just a quick cab ride away. Our room was very comfortable and the front desk was extremely helpful with making arrangements for day trips and transportatio n. |

| We held our wedding reception at El Convento- Kamil coordinated and did a great job. the venue simply doesn't get any better. Guests were thrilled. The vendors, A-Z Music (band), Juan Jose Robledo Designs (decorator), Enuel Viera of Envi Photo, and Obed Garcia of Sugarlab (cake) were Kamil's recommendations and were incredible! Our guests raved about the dinner service, the music, the food, the bartender's mojitos, the ipad Enuel used to show us a sneak peak at our (stunning) wedding photos... the list goes on. El Convento was accommodating and professional. We enjoyed relaxing in our room-- there isn't a bad one in the hotel-- the tapas at the hotel's El Picoteo, and the rooftop pool with it's city view. Kudos to El Convento. If you're considering El Convento, the price is worth it! |

| Hotellets läge var mycket bra och själva hotellet var välskött och vackert. El Convento är ett typiskt stadshotell som verkligen ligger mitt i Gamla San Juan.
Frukosten var mycket god och personalen var trevlig och tjänstvillig. Det fanns även möjlighet att ta vattenflaskor och dricka te eller kaffe gratis när som helst under dygnet i en av barerna. I hotellet fanns även två restauranger som har gott rykte om sig. |

| This hotel is charming. The room and bath were small, similar to European hotels, but very functional. The soundproof door was great and we heard no outside noise from our side of the hotel. The nightly wine and cheese reception was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely recommend it, and will stay there again. |

| Séjour très agréable dans un hôtel idéalement placé pour des visites à pied du vieux San-Juan. L'accueil et les services réservés par le personnel sont dignes de ce standing. Aussi, je recommande cet hôtel à tous ceux qui, tout en découvrant les charmes de la vielle ville, veulent séjourner dans un très beau cadre. |
