Recent Embassy Casino Review: "When I booked my hotel it was for one night each before and after a cruise. I had no idea what area or anything so hopefully this review will help. The Embassy is located 2 minutes from the airport. I did not hear any plans unless I was purposefully listening for them. You can take the 75 cent bus to Old San Juan. You are in less than a block and a half walk from Isla Verde beach. It was a very easy walk and safe. We carried a cooler to the beach. You can rent a chair and umbrella or bring your own. There is a very small mini mart on the walk to the beach that I highly recommend for a drink stop to fill your cooler! The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They accommadated all of our needs. The Happy Hour is great. For 2 hours you can drink for free ie. beer, wine, mixed drinks, liquor, etc. and they even have popcorn and snack mix. There is a pizza place and Outback in the hotel which is very nice after happy hour. The pizza place has good prices. Outback is a little pricey. The breakfast is AWESOME! They make your omlet the way you want. They have meat, eggs, fruit, muffins, crossiant, coffee, juices, oatmeal, etc. VERY VERY NICE! The pool area is also very nice. I did not visit the casino. Our boat came in early and we were able to check into the hotel around 10am since they had rooms available. This was very helpful. They held our bags after we checked ou;t while we went shopping before our plan left. They always have a taxi waiting so you don't have to wait. I had a wonderful experience! In the future I will look for an Embassy to stay in!"
