Recent Doubletree Hilton Review: "I very much enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree. From check-in to check-out, the staff was all SUPER friendly and accommodating, which is exactly the kind of service every hotel should strive for. We were able to check in early (noon, as opposed to their stated 3pm check-in), and we happily brought up our luggage and free warm welcome cookies to our  room. The room was a good size and very clean. Our view though, was blocked by a palm tree but that wasn't a problem for us. The maid service was also very thorough and satisfactory. The location of this hotel was perfect. It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do (besides Old San Juan, but that was an easy 10 minute cab ride over). They also have a Beach Club program where you can use the facilities at their sister hotels. We ended up utilizing this for 3 out of 5 days we were in Puerto Rico. I highly recommend checking out their sister hotel La Concha. You will not regret it. The Doubletree is also directly across the street from a 24/7 Supermax, which we frequented a lot at all hours of the day and night. It helped that there was a microwave and refrigerator in the room so we could buy food and drinks. The front desk was so helpful and friendly throughout our whole stay. Margarita was especially helpful and so nice and always smiling. They assisted us in getting a cab for Old San Juan and to the airport. We were also able to do late check-out and they held our stuff for the rest of the day until our 6:00pm flight. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting San Juan. You will not regret it!"
